• RUBBER MEETS THE GROUND

    Multi-channel video installation / HD / 4min. 30sec. in loop / 2014

In the multi-part video installation RUBBER MEETS THE GROUND, white rubber boots walk over different surfaces. A foot march through India, over steppe, scree, desert, trash, through the sea, the train, through dirt, over buffalo grass. The space walks, moves towards the viewer, is in balance, gets out of balance.

The installation fits into the exhibition space, adapts its dimensions to the space. RUBBER MEETS THE GROUND is shown on monitors positioned at foot level, creating a space that is in permanent motion. The space is walking, moving towards the viewer, in balance. Rare moments of pause or outward movement tip the balance of the space.

Through loops of different lengths of the individual sequences, permanently new combinations, new impressions and feelings of movement arise.
